1976 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser

1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Description:

Up for auction is a 1976 Toyota LandCruiser that is very original. This cruiser spent over 25 years as a cabin/second home vehicle in the Big Hole Valley of SouthWestern Montana. It belonged to an elderly couple from Butte, MT and was stored in the Big Hole until the early fall of 2018, when I was able to purchase it.
An oil change, fuel flush, and a new battery were fitted. The original carburetor was rebuilt. The 2F retains all of its original pieces, and runs well.
This cruiser is still on its original paint and patina. The seat foam was the victim of some mice - but the rear jump-seats are stillintact and in pretty good shape. The headliner needs to be re-glued or replaced. This 40 is a USA version, and according to paperwork found in the Cruiser, was sold new at a dealership in Havre, MT.
This FJ is a great restoration candidate, as it's pretty much all original, and everything is there.
Rust in the usual spots for Land Cruisers from this era. Please take a close look at the included at the pictures posted here on eBay, and you can see many more pictures on my Google drive as well:

There's surface rust, scratch, and dings on the body, as well as rust on the back of the Cruiser, below the rear doors. The driver's side jump seat also has a rust issue where the bracket connects to the body that will have to be addressed. Rust on the rear fenders - up top and near the rear lights. Also rust below both side doors, and in a few other spots. In other words, the rust is pretty typical of a 1976 Landcruiser that has never been restored, and is still on its original paint.
