1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Description:

SOLID RUST FREE 1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5. 167XXX on the odometer, Good Tires, CLEAN Alabama Title in my name.Truck is believed to be a ‘Southern Truck’ based off the frame and body condition.Runs good and drives good. The 22RE engine has been converted from EFI, to Carbureted, which technically makes it a 22R. It has a Weber Carburetor, and a Offenhauser Intake.There is some minor body damage to the driver door and fender (at the door jam), A new set of driver's door hinges will probably be needed and there is no rear glass, or front bumper either.Overall, the truck is VERY straight for an 87, and is SOLID and RUST FREE. It does have a few SMALL spots of surface rust, but NO ROT!!!1st Gen 4Runners without 'cancer' are getting harder to find, and here's your chance to own one that is in restorable condition.If interested, me and some other folks can restore it for you to whatever level you want. But, obviously that will add to the cost.This truck deserves an owner who has the knowledge, time, capability, and ‘facilities’ to restore and love this truck.I recently saw a fully restored 83’ SR5 Pickup go for $30K on Barrett Jackson, so who knows what this would be worth fully restored.Truck does run and drive good, but, it is a ‘project’, and attention will be needed to many things.I recently had a mechanic get the truck running good again, and I have the receipt to prove it. 4x4 is also fully operational.
