This is a Rare, Clean, Low- Low Mile Toyota, This has been a third vehicle for me as well as for the first owner. This Toyota has by far spent the vast majority of its time in a garage. This truck now has 132,500 miles on it. 465,000 miles is average for this year! I hesitated to change anything about this truck from stock factory original for the first few years. Then i decided to make some mods to it. First to be upgraded was the Stereo and CB. then I became interested in Rock Crawling. When I got some money I finally decided it wouldn't be too bad to modify it a little. A little turned into a lot. I wanted to maintain as much factory Toyota appearance as possible but I went all out deluxe with the drive train! This truck is a very capable rock crawler and I've had it to Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari twice. It has very good articulation capabilities. When in low range with both front and rear lockers engaged. It seems like it creeps over rocks, hills and ruts like a tank. This truck gets a lot of attention whenever it is out. Heads turn, this is a good looking truck! You will not find another Toyota Truck like this anywhere. This particular Truck has Toyota Factory options / features that I have not seen on this 1984-1988 body style before! This truck is mostly Toyota Factory original above the floor boards. Everything above the floor boards is original Toyota Factory equipment except for the following: Stereo has been changed out for a Blaupunkt AM FM MP3 CD with detachable face and remote. The Factory Toyota AM FM Tape deck that I took out of the truck was double DIN so that meant I had room for more than a single DIN unit. In the available Single DIN space I added a Midland CB with a front Firing Speaker. ARB Switches to control the rear diff air locker. this is very convenient and as easy to use as it is trouble free. Additional Stick Shifter for the Second Transfer Case. Security Alarm with shock sensor and keyless entry because the truck already had factory power locks. Two key fobs included. Alarm Switch and LED. Low Jack Module and early warning device (fully transferable to next owner) hidden inside cab. four new speaker installed in Factory locations for that clean, stock look; yet improved sound quality. 10" Blaupunkt sub Woofer (thumps) behind driver seat installed in its own custom box sitting perfectly on storage shelf. Seat goes back all the way even with sub where it is. Pioneer brand Stereo Amplifier professionally installed under passenger seat. Rear window tint Nice rubber heavy duty gray floor mats, Interstate Battery, Newer Exhaust System The following are some of the Toyota Factory installed options: Power Windows Power Door Locks Power Antenna Power Mirrors Sun/Moon roof with removable shade Clock Cruise Control Intermittent Delay Washer/wipers Air Conditioning (updated) 7 way Adjustable Sport drivers Seat Package including Lumbar, Bolsters, Tilt, Recline tilt wheel Ignition Key Hole Light Dual Center Storage Compartments leather wrapped top. SR5 Package Instrument Cluster with all Gauges not dummy lights Rear Deck Light SR5 Aluminum Alloy Wheels including one for the spare tire Trouble light plug. The light itself is missing but I do have the lens. Front and rear differentials have factory 4:10 gears Original factory high Gloss Black Paint (was listed as an optional color) with original decals. Included with the truck are: The original tool kit (rare) jack and other tire changing tools Owners Manual Owners Guide Booklet (rare) Haynes brand 1979-1995 Toyota Truck & 4-Runner repair manual An Original 1988 Toyota Sales Brochure in New condition (rare) Lojack Documentation and two early warning key chain fobs ARB Locker Documentation Toyota Original Double DIN AM FM Tape Deck Stereo Pump-Up kit includes air hose to connect to ARB air compressor for airing up tires or filling air cans. (New, never used) Tow Bar (like new, used once) Locking Fuel Cap Some aftermarket modifications are: Independent Front Suspension (IFS) completely removed 6 inch soft ride lift from All-Pro Off Road 1985 Toyota solid Front Axle completely rebuilt and installed Detroit Locker in Front Differential ARB Air Locker in Rear Differential Stock chain driven V6 transfer case replaced by dual (two) 4cyl gear driven transfer cases for double gear reduction and more gearing options. This mod required an adapter from Advance Adapters. Rear drum brakes removed and replaced with front wheel disk brakes! New disk brakes front and rear. Custom made REEL brand heavy duty front and rear drive shafts. Custom heavy duty skid plate Disk Brake Parking (hand) Brake. In drive line behind transfer case. Very nice! Extra long travel braided Stainless Steel Brake Lines! Hy-Steer Cross Over Steering. Gets steering arms out of the way of rocks. 1.5" wheel spacers U-Bolt Flip Kit Grease-able Shackles Weld on Shock Hoops with 5100 Series Bilstein Shocks New Off Road Front and Rear black powder coated specialty bumpers WARN brand Winch XD9000i. This is the size they typically install on 3/4 ton truck. only used a couple of times. BF Goodrich AT Tires size 33 X 10.50R X 15LT (5 tires including spare) A word about the Engine. The engine is in tip top shape. it is completely stock and in great condition. There is no smoke out the tail pip, it does not burn oil! When it starts up when engine is cold it idles high and the idle slowly drops to around 800 RPM just like it should, just like it did when it was new! Passes State Smog tests no problem. Just before the SAS (at about 112,000 miles) it had extensive work/maintenance done on the engine by a certified Toyota Mechanic using Toyota Factory parts and the list is as follows: Timing Belt Oil pump Valve job All belts All Hoses Spark Plugs Spark Plug Wires Cap & Rotor Radiator was removed and rebuilt and painted Engine flushed 5 Speed Transmission oil changed There are a few small pits and scratches on paint (very minimal for 31 years old). Oil is visible sometimes under the front axle near the knuckle.Tool box shown in back of the truck is not included.Less
