1991 Toyota 4Runner Description:

Rare one of a kind 1991 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 with legendary 22re 4cyl engine. She's gorgeous from the ground up. I purchased her from my good friends sister who was the original owner. She has never been offroaded or abused, adult driven her whole life. Ive owned her for about 4-5 years now, I made her my passion to make her better than original. All the mechanicals work as they should,it shifts very smoothly thru the gears.Get behind the wheel of this Toyota and it drives very smooth and steers straight down the road it will run and drive anywhere with no hesitation. The interior is super clean all the door panels and seats look great. You wont find any rips or tears or cigarette burns anywhere in the interior. Shes never been smoked in.The front seats are extremely clean as well as the back seats with no stains or wear marks etc. The carpet is original and clean. Ive used custom molded floormats so all the dirt and debris would be caught and not put into carpets so you wont find any funny smells or odors. The dash does have a crack on it but theres a custom dash pad that came with the 4runner. The cruise control works great. The power windows go up and down smoothly. It comes with an Alpine CD player/radio with a detachable face that works great. It has spent her whole life in California and is completly Rust free!!The exterior is in excellent shape and all original paint however there is some oxidation on the hood and roof area but thats expected for a vehicle this age.There's hardly any scratches or dents except for a tiny little door ding on the passenger side and a little dent on the rear bumper all shown in the pictures. There are no oil leaks anywhere as shown in the pictures. Ive always purchased the best japanese parts money could buy . My mechanic was a Japanese truck specialist that knew these vehicles inside and out. The engine is a 22re 4cyl that runs very smooth with no funny noises. I had the timing chain replaced around 15,000 miles ago with a new redesigned system that uses metal guides, not plastic guides which was a faulty design with the earlier timing chain. While doing this job both the oil pump and water pump were changed,as well as having the valves adjusted . The radiator is original and in excellent shape i had it professionally rotted out and refilled with peak antifreeze and distilled water and a factory Toyota thermostant installed.The Temperature gage always functions as it should with no funny readings. All new Gates hoses and Belts were installed,purchased from Napa auto parts. The A/C compressor was changed, and a brand new factory Denso was installed. It blows so cold you literally have to turn it off. The shocks were changed to German Bilstein shocks the best on the market for these 4runners, while changing the shocks I also had the rear coils changed to heavy duty coil springs made by Moog.Withthe new heavy duty coils you can put a heavy load in her and it wont even phase her. Theres no rear sagging at all, the 4runner sits very level as shown in the pictures. I had the rear bushings changed to polyurethane ones made by Energy Suspension. With the new shocks,rear coils, and rear polyurethane bushings this 4runners suspension is very responsive and extremely smooth literally feels like a Cadillac going down the road. I had the 5speed manual transmision and front differential professionally rebuilt by anaheim gear. I spent around $1300 for the both of them to be rebuilt a Dorman new clutch was installed and fresh Valvoline gear oil put in both the gear box and front and rear differentials. The tires do need replacing they are weather cracked and old. Ive spent unlimited amounts of money on this vehicle and im very particular about doing repairs right with the best parts available.I want this 4runner to go to the right person who will baby her as I did. These vehicles are getting extremely rare especially with the legendary 22re engine and the 4x4 combo. This is a great original unmolested 4Runner in excellent shape. Bid With Great Confidence!!!!
