1987 Toyota Land Cruiser Description:

First off this FJ60 is a southern vehicle, north Florida and south Alabama. This means ZERO rus, not driven in snow or alasted roads. Only rust is one small area of drip line, and noted in photos which I have treated and needs final repair - paint.
There are few scratches and dents as noted in photos. The drivers seat has a tear in it as noted in photos the rest f the inetrior is in really good original condition almost no wear.
Overall its in very good condition. Engine has excellent compression, no leaks.I just drove it up to Asheville N.C. from north FLA along the Blue ridge parkway and camped and it used no oil.Several times a week the vehicle is used to go to town get groceries and reide on street. NO offroading.Once a week I make sure I put it in four wheel drive at low speed for a 10-15 minutes.
I have chosen to keep the vehicle stock as much as possible with a few mechanical modifcations that increase reliabilty and fuel consumption. ALL original parts have been kept and are boxed and come with it.
Thats includes factory manual and two aftermarket manuals. I had the vehicle professionally desmogged and added a weber carburator and header system with a free flowing exhaust but kept the extra quit muffler system of Toyota so it sounds exactly stock. AC blows cold heater will fry you.
Original carb I kept and comes with it for anyone wanting to return to strict stock. The interior was removed and sound insulation added and additionaly under the hood. Doors shut like a bank vault and it rides super quiet. Have photos of that process if someone wants to see it.
The problem in the FJ60 landcruisers are the AC system are the old style R12. This one has been converted to the newer style 134a and all new parts used. The tires are in good shape plenty of tread left. They have been kept balanced and aligned like clockwork. Oil changed every 3,500 mile, I use a higher viscosity synthetic oil such as a 20W-50 in the summer and a 10W-40 (or lower) in the winter, changed every 4K miles. No leaks, no oil or fluid use. The intake manifold has a custom bolt on addition that pulls in outside cold air. Again can be easily removed and stock condition with no trace.
Parts that have been replaced from original when new.New heavier duty shackles.New gas shocks.
New AC system ( r134) including, new hoses, fittings,
New evaporator core.New expansion valve.New receiver dryer.New Alpine bluetooth iphone compatible stereo and speakers.
New leaf springs front and rear (heavy duty).New AC compressor.New water pump.New valve stem seals.New block - engine heater (for cold weather starts plug in type).New power stearing pump.New power steering reservoir.New header exhaust system.New Weber carburator.New clutch.Rebuilt transmission.New bushings throughout chassis.Heavy duty front steering stablizer.
This is a really sound landscruiser for anyone wanting to remain stock. I routinely get 18-20 MPG on highway. The only thing I would replace would be the interior carpet and get to the heavy thick option 300-500 bucks. It has the original which is fine but with that and small cracks in dash fixed your getting close to as new condition cruiser.
The camper top is a roofnest eagle unit. Priced at around $ 2,500. There is a recent review in Outside magazine where it was named the best rooftop camping tent. https://www.outsideonline.com/2303731/best-rooftop-tents-2018and https://roofnest.com/
Right now it is priced without this ( bar rack and camper not included ) but I am open to it being included in the package for a fair price as its already installed. It is in perfect new condition.

I forgot to add I have ordered the broken tail light cover. The taillight works fine. I also added a custom push button ignition, not sure of this is worth it. But saves life of the ignition switch. Everything works normal its just a convenience. I also forgot to add that I have a set of Hella lights that are custom wired to the light dimmer so they function as nice additions to the bright lights when turned on.And I replaced brakes drums, etc all new. Fuel lines are braided stainless steel.
