1991 Toyota MR2 Description:
This has been my wife's car since we bought it with 60,000 miles in November 1994. Original owner was a female sales rep who used the car for work and put the 60,000 mostly highway miles on it in the 3 years she owned it. She traded it in to Superior Toyota in Overland Park, Kansas, which is where we lived before moving to Illinois in 1996. Since November 1994, my wife has put only 28,000 additional miles on it as she also had use of a convertible and sedan during our 23 years in Illinois. We recently moved to Missouri and this is one of 5 cars that will not be making the trip to Missouri. This vehicle has never been wrecked or raced, but it was repainted about 10 years ago. The Toyota white was replaced by a Corvette white. Car is in very good condition with the exception of a crack in the sun roof glass that happened during the repaint (and denied by the shop that repainted it - lesson learned, take photos of car before dropping it off at the shop), a slight crack in the ash tray cover (can't say if the original owner smoked or not, but it has not been smoked in during the past 23 1/2 years) and a scratch in the right rear bumper cover where car was too close to garage door, which when closing hit the bumper. Car has never exceeded 70 MPH in the last 24 years, and was only driven in the snow one time when my wife got caught while shopping by a freak early snow storm. Car has been garaged since the repaint and is also covered by a custom fit car cover while inside the garage. We have decided not to rent storage facilities in Missouri; and since this car was driven less than 200 miles in each of the last 4 years, we are putting this car up for sale. Only 3 cars were moved to our new home in Missouri, with this vehicle being stored in the garage of our Illinois house (at least until that home is sold). We are currently just over 7 hours from our IL home and this car, so prior arrangements must be made to see this car in person, and it will have to either be picked up in IL or you will have to have it shipped from IL. As I am retired, I can make arrangements to show this car to serious buyers with just a few days notice.
