LOW RESERVE... 1974 Toyota HiLux Chinook camper for sale. This truck was an amazing find that I hate having to sell. I am the second owner of this very clean (inside and out) truck. This truck is entirely original, only 70,685 miles on the 1.8L 4 cylinder engine. Title in hand and free of any liens.

The original owner (in Virginia) drove the truck regularly until 2009 and a neighbor used it once a week locally after that. Since I have owned it I have stored it inside and driven it only on sunny days.

The truck is a head-turner. I get questions about it all the time. Exterior has an original patina and a solid frame. It’s hard to find a dent on this 44 year old truck (but there are some). The interior of the truck is what’s most impressive, clean, original and vintage. Cabin lights work, no rips in the Chinook expandable roof.

The engine and 4 speed manual transmission are strong. Carburetor looks new. The truck also has new tires and brakes. Lights and gauges are all working as they should.

To be completely honest, the truck does have some minor flaws. The horn and radio are inoperative (likely related). The gaskets, shocks and bushings are all original, slight exhaust and transmission drain plug leak.

If you are looking for an easy restoration project, a weekend “glamper” or a tailgater vehicle; this would be an awesome vehicle for you. If you have any questions, just ask.
