1971 FJ40

1971 Toyota Land Cruiser Description:

1971 Toyota Fj40, very original, all stock, no holes drilled in body, all lights and gauges work. Original interior and motor. This FJ40 is originally from Arizona and made its way out to California Quite a few years ago so it has very minor rust .No rust in floorboards or rear floor or in the back where they normally rust. It does have one rust spot on each side by the up underneath next to the running board about 3” x 1”, easy fix. This Fj40 runs and drives very nice, I do have the original rims and hubcaps that will go with the vehicle. Basically this vehicle needs a little body and paint and some new rubber door gaskets and weatherstripping. Most of the area's that have primer paint were light scratches that had surface rust so I touched them up a few years ago and it still looks the same.I bought this FJ40 around 10 years ago and it did not have a top or doors so thats why it is different colors. I found doors and later the top. In the past few years the head gasket has been replaced along with valve guide seals. Leaf springs have new polyurethane bushings. It does have a new clutch and pressure plate and throw out bearing.All splash guards and skid plate are on the rig.A compression test show's each cylinder at 150 psi.Brakes were gone through work fine.Heater works too. I’m selling because I do not drive it but a few times a year. If you’re looking for an uncut unmolested Land Cruiser at a decent price this would be a good one. Don’t let the paint job scare you this is a nice rig. The original color was white. I was going to paint it but I would rather sell it and let somebody else paint it whatever color they want or go back to the original white. The speedometer was replaced because the needle fell off and I couldn’t tell how fast I was going so I put a different one in but the actual miles is somewhere around 118,000.
