1988 Toyota 4 Runner - one owner truck!

1988 Toyota 4Runner Description:

Up for auction is a one owner 1988 Toyota 4 Runner with 211,933 miles on the odometer. It has a 5 speed transmission and a two speed transfer case with locking front hubs, PS, PB, AM/FM Cassette player. It also has A/C that needs attention (drive belt and recharge). The heater/A/C fan switch only works in the upper two speeds. The 22RE engine is a 4 cylinder, fuel injected engine that does not smoke and has negligible oil leaks. There are no problems with overheating. The tires are in good condition including the spare which is the original spare tire. The front calipers and pads have been replaced as well as the entire rear brake system (drums, shoes wheel cylinders). The exhaust system was replaced from manifold to tail pipe including the catalytic converter. The rear window goes up and down from the console as well as the rear key slot. The rear defroster does not work nor does the rear window wiper. The motor on the wiper is good but there is apparently some break in the wiring. The running boards came with the truck and are fiberglas. I have never seen a pair like this on another 4Runner. The oil pressure light does not work. The sending unit is operating as it should. Again, a wiring issue. The gas gauge sometimes does not operate at less than 1/2 tank. The frame is in good condition with the normal rust and wear and tear. Both the front and rear fenders have been replaced. The rear quarters need final finishing. There is considerable rust at the rocker panels on both sides of the truck. This will need to be addressed. The truck has a new battery and starts and runs excellently. In summary this truck has a lot going for it but does need some attention. Obviously, the "smoke" coming from the exhaust in the latter part of the video is condensation as the truck was cold. This truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
