Rare/Vintage 1970 Suzuki T500 Titan Cafe

1970 Suzuki T500 Titan Description:

I'm selling my rare 1970 Suzuki T500 Titan that I have been turning into a cafe racer style bike. 1970 is the only year that has the factory mounted luggage rack like the one in the picture, the light green tank. This is also the only year that the T500 had the small metal emblem on the tank instead of the large block letters like the other dark green tank. I have installed quite a few new parts on the bike. It has a new headlight with a modern lamp in it, new drag bars, new turn signal switch, new brake lever switch, new cafe style mirrors, new turn signals up front, new LED rear brake and taillight assembly, and new battery. I also have a new set of front fork boots and a new set of foot peg rubbers. I rebuilt the carbs and had a local motorcycle shop, that specializes in vintage bikes, tune everything up. The bike usually starts on the first three kicks. There is no electric start. The bike is in really good shape, but it does have surface rust on some of the chrome. The bike will come with the extra parts seen in the photos. Just the extras are worth between $400 and $700. I started turning this bike into a cafe racer style bike, but I made no changes to the frame and I still have all the original components. The only exception to this is I cut down the rear fender. The tank that is on the bike now is off a later bike that wasn't a T500, but it has the same emblem so I used it. the bike even has the original fuel petcock. The bike would make a great restoration project, cafe racer, or leave it as it is and ride it. This motorcycle has less than 19,000 original miles, which is impressive on its own. I have a Virginia title for the bike, signed by the former owner and myself, but I never got around to putting it in my name. It is notarized. The bike will most likely need to be inspected by what ever state you live in since it is considered an antique. I am unable to ship the motorcycle, so if you buy it, you will have to arrange pickup or shipping.I would also like to note that this bike fully restored tends to go for between $6500 and $9000. I've seen one that was partially restored fro about $4500, and a complete junk bike for $1000. This is a great bike capable of 105 mph and has really good torque. The guy at the local shop was surprised at how good the compression is and how much torque this bike has. Anyone who buys this bike is getting one hell of a deal.
