1950 Roadster - Studebaker
1950 Studebaker Champion Description:
Hand-laid fiberglass body built onto a 1950(?) Studebaker Champion chassis.
Original inline flathead six runs like a top.
Transmission is Borg-Warner Overdrive, see - http://www.fordification.com/tech/overdrive.htm OD is not connected to cockpit, but a bit of coat-hanger wire could do that.
Six volt electrical still intact, lights work. Some gauges not working, nor tach.
I have the seats that came with it that fit into the cab, but I'm using now much more comfortable, tall back buckets. The latter need to be properly fitted and installed.
Great fun to drive, but it ain't fast by any stretch of the imagination.
On May-28-18 at 09:43:57 PDT, seller added the following information:Included is a couple inches thick set of records of the build, with images, etc. Some items date to the early 1950s, but it appears the car body was built in the 1970s.
Car must be picked up at my shop near Newport T
