1965 Shelby Backdraft Cobra #331 for sale Vin# AA9BMAAHV51CN1127 This is an ex-race car campaigned in 2007 by Reg and Frank Dodd, the owners of backdraft. they returned it to street legal form. it had been stripped to the bare chassis for weight savings. Included are some pictures that were in a magazine from its short lived racing days. basically everything was brand new: Seats, windshield, roll bars, wheels, tires, brakes, suspension, engine……basically a brand new car except for the body and chassis. It retained some race equipment such as the oil cooler, remote oil filter, ceramic coated headers, 4 core aluminum radiator. amazing handling with the BMW 3 series IRS rear suspension, struts and brakes. it is a custom Keith Craft 351W, 1974 Torino block with aluminum heads, deep 14 quart oil sump, Holly 4 barrel with K&N filter, runs very strong 465 HP . Brand new Nitto NT1 track tires with 50 miles on them. Extra set of good year F1 street tires as well.
