1927 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Description:
Up For auction is a 1927 Rolls Royce Phantom I(1928 titled)This car was out of long term storage when I purchased it a year ago. Since that time, I removed, flushed and sealed the fuel tank. The Autovac, starter solenoid and carburetorwere rebuilt by the Vintage Garage Vermont and the car has been rewired. There is currently an electric fuel pump in service. There are 2 new side mounted tires.
The car runs smoothly andcoolwith good oil pressure. The charging system works well. I believe all the instruments are functioning as well as the speedometer. There are new spring Gators front and rear.
The overall condition of the body is good with no signs of wood rot or electrolysis. The steel fenders are beautifully intact. The paint is poor and has chipping. If I had to estimate the age of the paint I would have to guess 40+ years. The interior is in good condition. The front seats and door panels seem to have been redyed at some point. The front door panels are original where as the seats were replaced at some point. The rear coach upholstery I believe to be a mixture of original and some replacement. The headliner is good.
