The 1988 Carrera offers the progression of the 3.2 liter motor but with the addition of the highly desired G50 transmission. One of the advantages to the G50 is the hydraulic clutch, which is a leg saver in stop and go traffic. Another advantage of the G50 is the increased shifting speed. When you’re in mood, the G50 will allow you to shift the gears at a pace that matches your need for speed.
