This stunning, lightweight STR Tribute started life as a 1979 911SC. It was media blasted to metal, modified with GT Racing fenders, hood and engine cover. It was primed with rust repellent primer and finished in Guards Red. It features a very racy center fill gas cap as featured on period racers. The engine was completely rebuilt from the bottom up. The original 3.0 was upgraded to 3.2, with new pistons and cylinders. All new hardware and upgrades: oil cooler, oil pump, chain tensioners, etc, as well as a conversion from the temperamental fuel injection to 6 PMO carbs and a digital ignition system from Clewett Engineering. The car has a polished stainless steel M&K muffler attached to new Dansk heat exchangers. The interior features: New dashboard, new headliner, new lightweight RS carpet, RS door panels and pulls, Rennline floor board, Schroth 4 point seatbelts, Autopower roll bar (bolted in), quick release fire extinguisher and the most comfortable period correct reclining seats. The wiring is new and the gauges were rebuilt by Palo Alto Speedo. This car also has a new brake system, new shocks, new clutch, new throw out bearing, new pressure plate and a lightweight flywheel. The transmission has been rebuilt with all new synchros. This beauty is sitting on very desirable Minilite race wheels (8x15 fronts, 9x15 rears) that are fitted with New Michelin Tb street legal tires. The workmanship has to be seen to be believed!
