1978 Porsche 911 black Description:

Targa conversion to a Cabriolet, blue roof in fair condition, paint is probably 10 to 15 years old with a few nicks etc. but still has a great finish/shine, body excellent, interior very nice from a later Carrera. Great looking 911 that gets a lot of attention and compliments whenever I take it out.Koni frontshocks, rear gas KYB shocks, lowered about 1 to 2 inches, premium Michelin Pilot sport tires new within last month, rear 17x9 reproduction Fuch rims with 255/40 tires, front original Fuch 16x7 with 205/45 tires. H4 headlight conversion, engine changed to a 2.7 which runs strong and does not smoke or burn oil, carpet very good condition, no glass cracks, dashboard in very good condition. It is a 40 year old car so I am trying to present it as accurately as possible. I have sold a few Porsches off recently and have been using this car for the past few weeks, very good driver and would be a car for someone who just wants to enjoy a vintage 911 and not tie up a lot of money.

I changed the old fuse panel to an updated blade style from Pelican Porsche. The original fuse panels are notorious for fuses falling out while you are driving. Everything worked prior but I must have missed something as the radio and power driver seat not working now and I have not had the opportunity to look at it, definitely minor but I will have a go atit. Has not been driven much in last few years as this 911 is part of a small collection with limited use but is a strong runner. Most definitely will need a full tune up, slight missing under 2000 rpm. Odometer stopped working which will need to be rebuilt, mileage I cannot verify assume much higher probably 180k miles. USA imported carin 1990so speedo is in MPH. Thermals still on the engine but have been hollowed out giving it a nice exhaust note.

Its not perfect but a fantastic driver in great shape and does not appear to have ever been in an accident. Wrong engine but lots of power, does not blow or burn oil.Happy to accommodate someone to look at it locally to assess it if you arrange it. Body panelsline up and fit as they should. If you want perfect look elsewhere, if you want an overall nice driver, tight, straight andat a fair pricethis may be it.
