YELLOW 914, FRESH ENGINE, COLLECTIBLE CLASSIC
1971 Porsche 914 Description:

You are bidding on a 1971 Porsche 914, classic Porsche design, mid-engine performance, and rapidly increasing in value.I recently purchased this Porsche from the owner of approx. 14 years, a retired airline mechanic and currently restores collectable aircraft. The reason I mention that is that typically those associated with aircraft maintenance and restoration are very particular builders and pay close attention to detail. The gentleman I purchased the car from was responsible for the restoration approx. 1500 miles ago.
Mechanical:
• 1.7 liter motor, rebuilt recently, less than 1500 miles since build
• Vehicle was originally fuel injected, that has been replaced with a more reliable and tuneable carburetor.
• Factory Porsche manual trans with complete linkage rebuild
• Runs and drives well
Interior:
• Very nice bucket seat interior, inserts done in a retro yellow and black houndstooth pattern
• One crack in dash, otherwise interior is very presentable
Exterior:
• Recent Repaint to Canary yellow, vehicle was disassembled prior to repaint
• It appears most all weatherstrip was replaced at the time of repaint
• Good quality repaint, not a show finish, a few minor nicks here and there, nothing major
• Most importantl, a very solid example. Solid floors, rockers etc.
• Odometer shows 96500 miles. I have no way of knowing if that is actual.
In closing, I am far from a Porsche expert so I apologize if I missed any important points. It is however, a great running and driving car, good prior ownership and I believe a good investment.
