HISTORY This is a two owner car with the single family ownership thru 2014. Car is from the San Franciso Bay area and in the last year purchased and now resides in South Florida. CHASSIS/BODY The foundation of these early Porsche is the unit body construction, the chassis. One of the many strong points of this car is that it has no rust and has never been in any accidents. The gaps on this car are as good as you will find. Very original car that has not been modified or upgraded. PAINTWORK Silver Metallic paint. Paint code 6851. The paint on the car is original except for the passenger door which was painted many years ago. The condition of the paint is original, meaning that with 79,000 miles there are rock chips and the expected wear and tear. On the right rear quarter panel just above the rear wheel there is a paint burn mark from the rear tire coming up and rubbing the inside of the quarter panel. The paint is original, and it is wonderful to look at and feel. It would be a shame to repaint this car for any reason. MECHANICAL There is paperwork for service from new. The engine was rebuilt at a cost of $13,500 at 74,000 miles so the rebuilt engine has 5000 miles on it. The gearbox is a 5-speed and shifts nicely.
