For sale is a low mileage 1981 Pontiac Trans Am first owned by the Martinsville Speedway. The car was originally invoiced and shipped to Fuquay Pontiac, Danville, Virginia for the Fall race at Martinsville Speedway.

The car was used for approximately one year by the grandson of the founder of the Martinsville Speedway.The following year, with the style change of the 19982 Trans Am, numerous red 1982 Trans Am's were invoiced through Fuquay Pontiac for the Martinsville Speedway. At that time,this car was swapped for a new 1982 model.

According to the current owner, the car has not been driven except on occasion since it was purchased from Fuquay Pontiac. The information regarding the car’s history comes from the current owner and the former sales manager for Fuquay Pontiac. The owner is attempting to obtain a copy of the original invoice on the vehicle to further verify this information. The current owner has many documents regarding services done to the car as well as the original owner’s manual. In September 2022, the owner had $3,300 in work done to the car to include a new fuel tank, wheel cylinders, brakes, rotors, calipers, carburetor, spark plugs, wires, distributor, radiator and more. Additional documentation is available that substantiates the mileage.
