1973 Pontiac GTO Coupe Description:

First, I am going to apologize for the lack of pictures/picture quality. With that said please call with any questions and I will answer any questions you may have 518-860-5718. I have PHS documenting this car as a real Cameo White with Baby Blue Top and Stripe, A/C, 400/Auto GTO Coupe. This 1973 GTO is 1 of only 282 produced in the "Coupe". The lack of window louvers distinguishes this car as a coupe rather than a sport coupe. Most 1973 GTO's were sport coupes but this particular one snuck through the plant without louvers. This car also maintains its numbers matching drivetrain with only 56,000 original miles. On top of all this it is a bench seat, column shift car which is even more of an oddity. The car has been dismantled for restoration but stalled due to lack of time. I pressure washed the entire underneath of the car and the engine compartment. The black vinyl roof on it in the pictures is a replacement put on long ago and PHS verifies that it was originally a baby blue top. The cordova top is no longer on the car (we yanked it to address the roof skin rust). You can see evidence of the original baby blue top in the door jambs in the pictures. The car also has all of its original Air Conditioning components. This car is not rust free by any means. The roof will need to be re skinned but I have a doner roof off of a 1973 Lemans that I purchased and parted out. I have clean front fenders that were NOS at one time (sticker is present) but had been painted and mounted to a car. They are scuffed and ready for paint. I have clean front and rear bumpers with beautiful black rubber bumper strips off of the 73 Lemans parts car.The bumpers on the car now are OK but I have the better ones. I have proper date coded 1973 exhaust manifolds off of the Lemans parts car (GTO had headers upon dismantle). I have a brand new in the box exhaust system with thrush mufflers to go with the car. I have a mint dash out of the Lemans but it will need to be dyed blue (currently red). I have 2 separate NACA/NASA hoods to go with the car. Each have their own set of rust issues but both are salvageable. I have a set of aftermarket quarter panels, trunk pan and floor pans to go along with the car as well. The door panels are nice but will need to be cleaned up and re dyed. The seats will need to be re upholstered. The headliner will need to be redone. The doors are solid and may need a little work once paint is stripped but as of now there is no rot present. This car is ready for bodywork to start with all the new metal present and needing to be installed. The frame is good on this car despite all the rust up top. The wheels are originals to the car (checked date codes). We did pull the top end of the engine apart to double check that everything was good to go and we really liked what we saw. The lack of wear on they cylinder walls makes us believe that the 56,000 miles is factual and that the odometer has not turned over. The engine is in primer which needs to be sanded, then painted. I also have all of the PPG Cameo White Paint for the car (no reducers). Since I parted out an entire Lemans, I have a lot of very nice parts for this car for reassembly. This and the fact that the car was a complete car when we took it apart reassures that everything is there to complete the resto. Any questions please call me at 518-860-5718. I will answer any questions you have. I really do not want to sell as this car is my next project due up and I already have sunk a ton of money and time into it but I need the cash to finish up another project.
