Engine, Engine Unit Number and Suffix Code Information:

Believed to be the original engine - Engine "Unit Number" appears to match.
Note: from what I have read, in early 1967, Pontiac did not stamp the car body VIN on engines. But, they did stamp a unique "Engine Unit Number" on each engine. In order to see if the original engine is still in the car, a person needs to access original (or reproduction) documents which include the "Engine Unit Number". That seems to have been done with this car. When I purchased this car, the previous owner also gave me the Build Sheet information (possibly original, but more likely a reproduction). The Engine Unit Number on the Build Sheet appears to match the actual stamped Engine Unit Number on the engine block. View the pics at www.gasvilleusa.co, come inspect and decide for yourself.elf.

- Suffix Code "XJ" - See pics
- XJ is correct for 1967 Grand Prix
-"XJ" Suffix Code Information (see pics):
- XJ = 400 cubic inch, 350 horsepower, 10.5:1 Compression Ratio, 4BC Carb, for auto transmission
- Engine rebuilt approx. three years ago, per previous owner (time of car restoration).
- Few upgrades including intake manifold, carburetor and HEI ignition
- Possibly other upgrades unknown to me
- Brand new complete exhaust system
Beautiful paint, chrome, stainless and painted under-chassis - see 163 pics at www.gasvilleusa.com

- Easily turn steering wheel with two finders
Power Brakes:
- Appears to be new or newer
- 4-wheel drum brakes (not disk)
- Brakes work just fine -no reason (my opinion) to change to disk
- Car brakes straight (doesn't pull to a side)
- Booster works great - easy to apply brakes and stop car
Transmission:
- Believed to be the original factory Turbo 400 - I haven't checked codes, but you are welcome to come inspect and determine for yourself.
- Transmission operates correctly
- Rebuilt approx. three years ago, per previous owner, at time of car restoration
Interior:
- Beautiful black interior with bucket seats, center console, floor shifter and woodgrain steering wheel.

- Top appears to be either new or newer - no tears or rips

- Up and down correctly - see video
- Note: one window goes up slightly slower than the other three, but still operates correctly
- Note: Wing windows are manual
Air Conditioning:
- Operates correctly (cold) - see video
- Original style (not aftermarket)
- Professionally converted to R134
