1955 Pontiac Safari Wagon, 1955 was the first year that the Safari Wagon was available through Pontiac. The 1955 Safari Wagon was built using shared components with the Chevrolet Nomad. The Safari Wagon is much rarer than the Nomad as it is believed that only 3760 Safari's were built for the 1955 model year. This Pontiac Safari Wagon is an excellent example of what was available to the consumer in 1955. This Safari Wagon is completely loaded with most if...not all the available options for this vehicle. The options include the 287 cubic inch motor with 4 barrel carburetor, power steering and brakes, power windows, air conditioning, under hood light, sun visor, leather interior, traffic light finder, Convenience Group and the Appearance Group option packages. This is a numbers correct motor, the exterior is finished in the factory correct turquoise blue and white mist with a coordinating leather interior of ivory and dark blue.
