1988 Trans Am GTA

1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA Description:

You're bidding on a 1988 Trans Am GTA. 135k miles. It does NOT run. We were told it has a rod bearing knock, but we have never tried to start it. The engine is the original 5.7 with Tuned Port Injection. We were also told the transmission was good, it was taken off the road due to the engine noise. The car has 4 wheel disc brakes, posi, WS6 suspension, and it has a fiberglass replacement rear aero wing (these are $500 alone). The car has a very amateur paint job on it. There is some rust by the rear wheel wells..(see pics) It would make a fun project for a do it yourself, or father son, etc. It has a ton of potential, and the value of the 3rd gen GTA's are on the rise! The car is all there, and we dont see any evidence of prior accidents. All the gaps look good, etc. Selling at NO RESERVE. We will not ship. The hatch lock cylinder is missing.
The vehicle history report shows an odometer discrepancy.....I dont know if the mileage was entered wrong at some point or what.
I'm starting the bidding for the value of the rear spoiler, and the wheels.
This is a project car. I haven't had it up on a hoist or anything, but when loading it on the trailer I noticed there is some rust on the drivers floor pan. The bottom of the car and components have surface rust. The exhaust by the muffler is shot.
