DOWNSIZING SALE1979 10th Anniversary Trans Am made to look like a 1972 Formula. An amalgam to put all of what I found best in 2nd Gen F-Body into one car.

·1973-75 Aftermarket 17” Honeycomb wheels w/ 1974 Chrome Exhaust Tip.
·1979-1981 Aftermarket 17” WS6 Snowflake deep dish wheels w/ 1977 Splitter Exhaust Tip.
·Lucerne Blue paint w/full body edge bright work, hand painted Firebirds on nose, sail panels, rear spoiler and factory stripes and of course the flamed formula hood scopes
INTERIOR

·Enhanced with GM Design Executives one-off contrasting piping, kick panels and carpet.
·Enhanced with One-of-One Trans Am contracting door jamb color.
·1979 10th Anniversary red instrument lighting for full instrument cluster and 5,500 redline Tach.
MUSCLE
·1974 Pontiac Super Duty 455 heavy duty block w/ correct casting 480132, date code 0294, block cast '132' and serial #84904. Block was service part purchased in 1994 and installed in 1973 Trans Am donor car. In 1973 & 1974 SD 455 Firebirds were considered the quickest cars in a quarter-mile in North America if not the world.
CHASSIS
·1979 WS6 handling package, quicker steering box, thicker sway bars, stiffer poly bushings & 4-wheel disc brakes.From 1979-1981 WS6 equipped Firebird were considered the best handling cars in North America exceeding .8g laterally.
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS

·SD - 455 bored and stroked to ~500 cu in; Edlebrock aluminum heads and GM aluminum intake; custom grind roller lifted camshaft & 6,200 RPM Redline, >500HP @ 4,500 RPM & > 600 # Ft @ 3,000 RPM.
·Aftermarket Tremek 5-speed transmission.No idea about MPG since odometer doesn’t work!
·Lightened driveshaft w/safety loop w 3.23 Posi-traction rear end.
·4-point roll bar, sub-frame connectors, solid body mounts and steel control arm bushings.
·Fully adjustable upper A-Arms with track alignment.
·Front Coil-Over conversion; Springs @ ~700#/in, stiffer rear springs with Delrin bushings.
·Larger front brake rotors, Corvette calipers and track pads.
·Rear track pads on stock disc brakes.
·A couple of cool dash mounted rocker switches for engine start enable circuit security.
NOTABLE
·Clock doesn’t work -duh!
·Personally I never get tired of looking at the shape of 2nd generation Pontiac Firebird’s.
·Removed 10th Annv. Screaming Chicken decal (largest ever) in favor of dual scoops Formula hood with subtle flames in platinum.
