1988 Pontiac Firebird Firebird Description:
For sale is a 1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350 with WS6 handling package. 100k original miles and a 5.7-liter V8 automatic with overdrive. I have owned this car since September 2001. New alternator installed in 2002. Retrofit AC from R12 to R134 along with accumulator back in 2002. Air does not work I'm guessing it just needs a charge. I never bothered fixing it since I do not drive it that much. Upper and lower hoses replaced in 2007 along with thermostat. Newer Kuhmo tires only 500 miles on them. Headliner replaced and still looks new. Interior is clean and looks very good/clean except for small tear starting on driver's seat. Overall car is in good condition. It has been stored covered outside for the past 17 years (I had it in the garage for one year). The previous owner painted the car back in 2001 to its original color. The hood and drivers side still looks pretty good. The clear coat on the roof, rear passenger side, and spoiler is beginning to peel. Car does not have any mods and is all-original even the factory Delco AM/FM cassette radio. The pictures show an aftermarket head unit but I removed it and installed the original radio very recently. Car is wired for an aftermarket head unit and amp in the rear. I originally bought the car as daily driver but within one year I purchased another car and this one has only been used for car shows and cruise nights. It has only been driven in the rain that first year I owned it. After that car has never been driven in the rain, snow, ice, or salt roads. There is no rust on the vehicle. The car runs great and handles well. Car has minor issues for but common for it's age. Sometimes smoke comes out at startup probably due to bad valve seals. Also, rarely the check engine light comes on but seems to only happen if the car sat for a while. It usually goes out after turning the ignition off and then back on again after warm up. I have all the paperwork of work completed since I have owned the car.
