1970 Pontiac Executive/Cheiftain 400

1970 Pontiac Executive 400 Description:

Hello unfortunately it has come time to sell my 1970 Pontiac Starchief-Executive. I love this car but cash is tight! It has a 400ci Pontiac and a Turbo400 transmission. Car was originally a 2bbl carb car but previous owner swapped to a 4bbl edelbrock carb, intake is a GM intake off of a 4bbl 400ci motor. The motor is all original except for carb and intake and chrome air filter cap. Motor in factory form was the 275hp 10.5:1 compression motor. Car also has some very nice American Racing wheels but I swapped them out for the original wheels to give it that cool 70,s era look. This car is an absolute dream to drive it has had a tune up this tune up also included a fresh vacuum advance and the timing checked and adjusted. Oil changes done every 2500-3000 miles or every 3 months and it was always changed with Lucas 10w40 hot rod oil with zinc and all tank fill ups were with 91 and included marvel mystery oil with led additive/octane boost. This car does not use oil or coolant its a strong and smooth runner. Also this car has no electrical gremlins all lights and signals and gauges work even the original AM radio and speakers work. This sale will include all of the original parts, 2bbl carb and intake and original wheels and hubcaps. This car also has Pontiac Historical Society documentation and original manual for service. Unfortunately I had a blowout on the front passenger side and so I have replaced all 4 tires along with putting the original 70,s wheels and hubcaps on I still have the American Racing wheels as well. This car is also 99% rust free. Only existing spots are on the underside and are NOT on the frame. And no the spots on the ground you see in the pictures are not from this car, Also this car entered and completed HOTROD POWER TOUR 2017 with sticker in window stating the places traveled to. These places include: Kansas City MO, Newton IA, Davenport IA, Chaimpaign IL, Madison IL, Indianapolis IN, Bowling Green KY. I would not hesitate to drive this vehicle anywhere.
There are a few cons to this car it is not 100% perfect.
1) A/C needs charged and since line freezes over due to lack of charge it steams a little out of the vents when heater is turned on due to the line running into same box on firewall as the heater core. A/C did work good and cold on power tour. A/C has been converted to R134a. Will most likely fix this if car is not sold in a month then price will go up.
2) Exhaust has a minor leak were y pipe connects to the manifold on the passenger (right) side of engine.
Those are the only cons of this vehicle I promise it will not disappoint. I've recently had new sway bar links replaced, so my asking price has went up to $6,050 I will continue to raise it the more work that I put into the vehicle. I will not go any lower then $5,800 so all you watchers you either make me an offer or stop watching it cuz you're just wasting your time, I know you like it and you don't think it's worth what I'm asking seeing it's a 4 door, well if you do your research on Haggerty and look up this classic you will see that it is well worth more then what I'm asking :-)
