1986 Pontiac Fiero SE Description:

GOOD PARTS CAR OR POSSIBLE PROJECT.

ENGINE RUNS BUT NEEDS A BATTERY.
if you put a battery in it engine fires up 2-3 cranks.
rough condition. body has cosmetic wear but everything is there.
interior is in rough condition. needs good cleaning up. headliner shot.
engine seems to run decent for an 86 oil and fluids are good no over heating.
SELLING AS PARTS OR PROJECT DUE TO ROUGH CONDITION.
4 Cylinder 2.5L engine 3 speed automatic. 120k original miles.
some parts that have been replaced:
alternator and belt, fuel pump, tune up plugs and wires.
brake lines all around, brake pads front and rear, oil pan and valve cover gaskets.
oil change and filter, fresh coolant and antifreeze. engine does not over heat.
the frame and cradle have rust but no rot holes. cradle is still bolted not falling apart.
will need a bit of work to be road worthy and pass new york state safety inspection.
the tires are shot from age but will hold air for loading onto trailer/flat bed.
the car does drive but needs brake rotors and the caliper pistons may need some work.
it has 4 wheel disc brakes all around. the brake pedal is a little soft/spongy from sitting.
the driver side head light gets stuck closed but can be opened by hand.
as for the car report it shows auction in 1994 i do not know the history other than it was registered without any issues in 2008 but shows "exceeds mechanical limits" could be for various reasons.
