1956 Pontiac Safari Description:
This 1956 Pontiac Safari is 1 of 4,042 units produced for that year. This 1956 Pontiac Safari Wagon has been very well maintained. It has never had any rust which has enabled its terrific condition. This Safari is a must see/drive to truly appreciate everything it has to offer. There has been some upgrades1) 1959 389 Cubic Inch Motor ( completely rebuilt) and is the only year 389 that is exactly the same as the original 317 cubic inch motor ( cooling through the heads) just more horse power. Very expensive and time consuming upgrade but done in a way that it looks exactly the same as the original motor. To keep the exhaust flowing I have used exhaust manifold off of a 348 cubic inch motor connected to dual exhaust.
2) The original booster / master cylinder has been upgraded with a dual diaphragm booster with a dual reservoir master cylinder. There have been NO modification to the body both the motor and brakes were made to fit original configurations.
3) West Coast car has no patch panels or body filler. It has one repaint to it's current color
4) Interior is in perfect condition, see pics
5) Upgraded am / fm sterio mounted in glove box
6) 72,932 original miles
