1969 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible Description:

This project has stalled out and needs a new home; I have another project that is taking precedence. The car was complete running vehicle when I got it minus the transmission and driveshaft. Since then I began a frame off restoration. The body was separated from the frame and the work began. The frame was stripped and coated with Eastwood chassis coat. The front suspension is all new with 1"drop springs, Scarebird disc brake conversion, and all new steering linkage (minus the center link and pitman arm. It also has 1" drop springs in the rear but I did not get any further than that with the rear brakes and suspension. The engine is a 428ci and the transmission is a TH400. The engine turns freely as it did when the restoration began. The car is a convertible and will need a new top as well as various body work to repair rust issues and will also need new floor pans. The interior is complete, not shown, and is stored in my garage with the exception of the door panels which it did not come with. The doors have been converted to Lamborghini style scissor doors with shaved door handles and trunk key lock. If scissor doors are not your thing a set of stock door hinges and removing the scissor door brackets will convert it back to stock function.The car is currently trailered at a friends shop and does not steer due to the lack of center link and pitman arm.This would make a great project for a true Pontiac lover or someone that just wants a really cool ride to cruise in.
