1965 Pontiac GTO Description:

Listed for your consideration is a real 1965 Pontiac GTO that received a frame off restoration during the summer and fall of 2017. It is a real GTO as noted by the PHS documents and the 5N code on the data tag. The car was refinished in the correct Nightwatch Blue. It has a black interior, was originally blue. The data and vin tags were not removed during the restoration, this is a real GTO.
The floor pans were replaced with a one piece pan with braces. The trunk pan and drop off's were replaced as well. Quarter skins, not full quarters were installed and other sheet metal as needed. The frame received new paint after being blasted and new lines were installed. A Safety-Trac Posi rear end with 3.36 gears was installed. The car has steel wheels, Pontiac dog dish hubcaps and new radial 15 inch tires The car runs at about 1900 RPM at 60mph.
The motor is a 65 or 66 389 with 092 heads, headers, aftermarket intake and a Holley carburetor. The block was cleaned, honed with new gaskets installed. It was previously rebuilt. The motor runs well. A HEI distributor is installed. New Aluminum radiator, firm feel steering box, power front disc brakes with a dual reservoir master cylinder. The interior was finished in a tuck and roll interior style. New headliner was installed. A new reproduction tail panel trim was installed and Rechromed Original Bumpers.
The car runs and drives nicely. It shifts perfect with the correct 3232 Hurst shifter and M20 Muncie transmission. The car is fun to drive. The paint is nice but has a couple of flaws here and there, but a beautiful car in a great color.

I have a NYS Transferable Registration, (The title for this year car in NYS), in the owners name. I am selling it for him as he is out of state. The funds must be cleared by the bank prior to the release of the car.
