1965 Pontiac Le Mans Cloth bucket seats with console Description:

This 1965 Pontiac was sold new and serviced at Martin Pontiac in Lancaster California. It has been in the same neighborhood ever since. The original owner lived on 35th Street West, then the car moved to 25th Street West and currently resides at 32nd Street West. It is a numbers matching 326 V8 with a Powerglide automatic transmission, power steering, bucket seats, console and AM/FM 8-track. The car was restored five years ago by the following individuals - Paint and Body by Ruben Aguilar at Westside Custom Auto Body Lancaster California. show winner 2011 and 2013 LA County car show. Interior by Santos Villarreal at Santos Custom Upholstery Lancaster California. Engine rebuild and bored 60 over by Division Street engine rebuilders Lancaster California. Edelbrock performance intake manifold and Quadrajet Carburetor by Ted Granger at Ted's carburetor service Lancaster California. Dual stainless steel exhaust with high flow performance muffler by Chip Davis from D&D Muffler Lancaster California. Transmission and rear-end rebuild by Gary Hoerner at Gary's transmission Lancaster California. Bumpers re-chromed by Claudia at California Metal Works Palmdale California . Radiator and fuel tank by Tom Tona at radiator King Lancaster California. Final assembly by Michael Owens certified aircraft mechanic Quartz Hill California. This car is unmolested, uncut, unmodified structurally and 99% rust free over the entire car!It has resided in the high desert 60 miles north of Los Angeles California for it's entire life. Minor modifications that I made are as follows - Monroe air shocks in the rear, KYB's in the front, 15 inch Factory Rally II wheels from 1967 - I like the way they look better than the 65 Rally I's. - I also installed fabric inserts in the seats instead of the factory vinyl because it gets up to 110 degrees here in the desert. Grant steering wheel, Summit Racing gauge package, and Kenwood stereo - no holes are cut in the doors, the dash, or the package tray for the stereo. I spent over $27,000 to duplicate the car I had in high school. Wife's medical bills are of of hand, I have to sell this car. The car's name is Lisa Marie please don't turn her into a phony GTO clone! Now for what she needs - I should have redone the wiring harness! It would have been really easy when she was torn down but I didn't. I'm an idiot! I would also put in a new windshield and rear window because they are both scratched and pitted. - the rubber seals around them are shot they will leak in a severe thunderstorm. Side Glass is fine. Also I would definitely put in new front bushings they dry out very quickly in the desert, and these are pretty well shot, you wouldn't know it by driving it, it drives perfect but if you stick your head under there and look at them you will say OMG. Some nice features are the original California black and Yellow license plates. Also new rubber on the doors, side windows and trunk. New brakes, hoses, tires, and a new battery 2 weeks ago. And of course thumbs up from everybody you drive past! Odometer reads 69301 MI I am assuming this is correct miles based upon the fact that I have repair receipts and registrations going back all the way to 1982 and in 1982 the repair receipt shows 15127 MI. The entire drive train that was rebuilt has less than 3000 miles on it as do the shock absorbers and other components. Other than a few squeaks and a loose console I would not hesitate to drive the car from LA to New York tonight, I think I would arrive in NYC in about 36 hours. Questions? Feel free to call me - my name is Mike I'm at 661-435-2833 - if I don't answer right away I will get back to you ASAP.
