First, let's start with a couple of Cuda Convertible production number facts as most people do not realize truly how rare a "REAL CUDA CONVERTIBLE" is because of all the fakes:

TOTAL 529CUDA Conv produced in 1970 incl all engine sizes: 340,383,440,440+6,426H

ONLY 138 of those were 383-4V Super Commando paired with the HD 727 automatic trans

A very low factory production number to start with even if all 138 produced were still around today given the Big Block Conv Cuda is one of the most coveted and prized top tier Collector Muscle cars. When you take into account that probably half or more of those are gone forever, the remaining number of factory 383 Cuda convertibles is extremely small. Now, how many of those are rust free, have under 49K miles, still have the original motor, and are survivors having nearly all their original born with parts including their original interior and top? Also, taking into account that, the next Big Block size up from the 383-4V is a 440-4V and that adds another 100K+ to a Cuda conv value making those out of reach.

ABOUT THIS '70 CUDA 383 CONV: it is a very early build date of 9/19/69 and among the first convertibles off the assembly line. Engine is the original one it was born with and is matching numbers with the correct VIN numbers factory stamped into the block vin pad. Still present are the factory original: fender tag, dash vin with original untouched rosette rivets on the original dash, cowl VIN stamping numbers, core support VIN stamping numbers, and I still have the original factory driver door tag. This Cuda convertible spent its whole life from late 1969 up till January 2019 in Sunny Dry California and has been kept protected stored inside a fully enclosed and insulated garage for nearly its whole life. I have owned and been heavy into Mopars since the mid 70s and this Cuda conv is one of the lowest mile and most original Cuda convertible I have ever come across. When I initially purchased it, this Cuda still had it's complete original factory born with exhaust system under it which even to this day most of the original exhaust is still present. I have owned this Cuda for nearly 20 years and it is in pristine show condition including the undercarriage, trunk, and under-dash area. It has never failed to take first or second place when shown. It always attracts a large admiring crowd wherever it goes, and the color always receives the highest compliments as it is refreshing to see a Cuda in a classy original color. I would say that the body lines, gaps, panels, paint, and entire condition in every aspect would make even a TWO-Million Dollar 426Hemi Cuda Convertible proud and many even jealous! Doors open and close effortlessly and still sound solid as the day it was new. I personally consider this a survivor with a repaint because of how original it is. The Cuda's body, interior and parts were all in great condition when I purchased it so after driving it for a couple years as it was, I decided to make it a formidable show machine by giving it a spectacular paint job and complete undercarriage detail. All the original parts were removed from the body and the body was given a high quality paint job in the original born with light green iridescent color. The undercarriage was treated to a complete detail to look as if it had just rolled off the assembly line. Nearly every single part of this Cuda's factory original parts were simply cleaned, detailed and reinstalled including all the original: body gaskets, emblems, stainless steel trim, steel brake lines, steel fuel lines, gas tank, weather stripping, door window felts, rubber door gaskets, aluminium door sills, wire looms, firewall insulation, heater box, original (and completely unrestored) front grill assembly, headlights, all glass, interior, even most of the original exhaust system remains with the Cuda including the factory original chrome tips. The original dash pad is still present and the black paint on the metal dash face and glove box is the original factory applied black paint. I have even left the factory original convertible top on the Cuda, but there are two patches where someone back in the early 70's used a sharp object to cut the top in two places so they could break in and steal stuff from inside. I have a "brand new" factory correct grain conv top from Legendary that goes with the Cuda that can be installed, but to date I have left the original top on the Cuda as I have wanted to leave the Cuda as original in that respect as possible. How many original conv tops do you find on 1970 era vehicles today? Not many! And besides having to be patched from being cut, it's really in fantastic shape as you can see in the pictures and a testament to how well preserved the Cuda has been. Having had a few conv Mopar "E" bodies previously and wanting this Cuda to be a great driver as I planned on keeping it long term for myself, I elected to do some "STEALTH" upgrades during the painting process such as stiffening up the chassis, adding Hemi suspension parts, adding updated HD front disc brakes, plus adding some bolt-on motor upgrades such as: Source 440 stealth aluminium heads/ Comp roller cam/ Comp roller lifters / Comp roller rockers/ aluminium intake / aluminium water pump & housing / Demon carb / electronic ignition/ super duty custom made radiator that looks factory stock / etc.. Every upgrade was done in such a manner to maintain a visually stock looking appearance. I have retained the major original engine parts and they are cleaned and stored. A set of Chrome 15X7 "Magnum 500" rims with a new set of Goodyear Polyglas Tires "F60X15" in front, & "G60X15" is currently on the Cuda for drivability and I also have for showing purposes a set of the correct 15X7 "Rally Rims" complete with original '70 center caps, trim rings, and set of (four) correct factory size "F60X15" Goodyear Polyglas Tires that appear dated from the late 70's all with matching DOT numbers that are also included with the sale. I also have a correct MOPAR battery with the "yellow caps" and the original round push button shifter. These items will be included as well.

This Cuda is now located in the beautiful state of Georgia city of Acworth about 20 minutes NW of Atlanta where I have recently moved too. It is registered, insured, and driven. If you want the best low mile BIG BLOCK Cuda convertible you could possibly purchase, I believe this is it! Why spend an amount near or over $100K to buy a 70 "Barracuda" that was once just a high-mile beat-up daily driver most likely with past rust issues originally a 318 or slant 6 cyl that got patched-back-together with aftermarket parts and painted a different color to be "CLONED" (faked) into what it never was with a totally incorrect non-matching motor when you could have THIS "REAL-DEAL" factory 70 Cuda 383 Convertible TRUE TOP-TIER INVESTMENT GRADE COLLECTABLE VEHICLE for around the same money (or maybe even less since I see many people now asking $150K to $200K for "Cuda Clones & Tributes”)? It is a "No-Brainer" to buy the "Real Thing”!

This is not a fire sale and I am not pressured to sell. It is just after nearly 20 years of ownership and closing in on my mid 60s, I figured I would give another car collector a chance to enjoy having the pleasure of owning this real Cuda 383 conv as I know the joy it can bring just seeing it in the garage! Besides, true top tier muscle cars, especially big block convertibles which have always been coveted and traded as a valuable asset to own have proven themselves time and time again to be very wise investment, even a safe haven in downturn financial markets out-performing most every other investments including Gold and Silver, and are a true physical asset you can actually enjoy while owning it.

This is an older vehicle and nearly all the parts on this Cuda are original from the factory and while excellent for their age, not every part is perfect plus all warranties have expired so it is being sold "as is without any warranty”. The only known issues to me are from the many years of being a garage queen, the transmission which functions perfectly has started to leak some fluid when parked and the speedo needle just recently started to bounce which broke the orange needle. I invite you or your hired designated person to come and inspect the car during the auction run time before placing a bid. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up here in Acworth, GA plus all related fees to have transferred into new owners name.
