1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe Description:

We were looking for a cute and fun car to use as a static prop for promotional display at our local Drive-In Movie Theater when we ran across this 1949 Plymouth. It is a very clean original car with 48k actual miles that has been sitting indoors since 1979. The interior is super clean, the original upholstery is not torn and the dash is amazing! The chrome on the dash, the gauges and steering wheel are in almost new condition. We did have custom made black vinyl covers made for the seats to protect the original upholstery during our promotion. The glass is all in excellent condition, the windows roll up and down with one finger, the doors click shut with ease, truly an unmolested car. The chrome and stainless are very brilliant and shiny with only minor dings. It was repainted once prior to 1979 but is a total rust free car. We buffed the paint out to a shine but it is an old paint job with scratches and dings. The previous owner did begin to work on the car to get it road worthy again, the engine turns over, he pulled the radiator, oiled the cylinders, and bought numerous tune up parts. We have not performed any mechanical work, it currently does not run and will need all the work you'd expect to perform on a car that has been sitting for almost 40 years.
