We recently purchased this Special Deluxe from the previous California owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy !! This car was stored in a garage in Colorado for more than 34 years until the previous owner rescued it from storage. It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door pillar mounted VIN tag, it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - firewall mounted data plates and an - ORIGINAL - Plymouth paint color bulletin, all of which are shown in several pictures. I drove this car for the last several weeks as my daily driver and I assure you it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a sweet driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and smoothly. At the heart of this BEAUTY is what appears to be the STRONG !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Code "P15" - 218 CID Flathead Inline 6 cylinder motor that is running very well. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifold, ORIGINAL Carter carburetor, ORIGINAL 6-volt electrical system and the ORIGINAL "Oil Bath" air cleaner housing, etc. Sounds GREAT too with the factory style exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Three Speed "Three-On-The-Tree" column shift manual transmission that also functions very well. The - BEAUTIFUL - MOSTLY NEW - Charcoal Gray Cloth and Maroon Vinyl bench seat Special Deluxe interior is in VERY NICE condition including a VERY NICE NEW Charcoal Gray Cloth and Maroon Vinyl front bench seat, VERY NICE Matching Charcoal Gray Cloth and Maroon Vinyl door panels, VERY NICE NEW Charcoal Gray carpets, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Plymouth steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge clusters, VERY NICE NEW Charcoal Gray cloth rear bench seat, VERY NICE NEW Charcoal Gray Cloth headliner, VERY NICE NEW Charcoal Gray Cloth sun visors and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Faux Wood Grain and Chrome accented dash !! All of the ORIGINAL black rubber weatherstripping is still soft, supple and in good condition for being original. The - BEAUTIFUL - Chevron Blue exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! and is showing several small chips imperfections that have been touched up but still looks GREAT as you can clearly see in the VIDEO & 100+ ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! This Special Deluxe comes nicely equipped including factory front wing windows, factory power wipers, factory manual choke and throttle pull-knobs, factory gauge cluster with 100 MPH speedometer (the fuel gauge and oil pressure gauge are no longer working), original AM radio which powers on but does not produce sound, factory pop-up fresh air vent, original rear view mirror, good heater and defroster, dual chrome side view exterior mirrors and working front and rear turn signal indicators. This Special Deluxe has AWESOME looks and SMOOTH 218 Flathead power as well... what's not to like ?!

The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME - Factory Original - Plymouth chrome wheel covers and BRAND NEW - Period Correct - Coker reproduction black wall bias ply tires, they look OUTSTANDING on this Special Deluxe and really retains that CLEAN "Factory Original" look! All of the ORIGINAL Chrome and Stainless Steel exterior trim and moldings are in NICE condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL badging, Good ORIGINAL Chrome Front and Rear Bumpers, NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumper guards and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Stainless Steel front grill and headlight surrounds. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk also sports the ORIGINAL Black rubber liner and a full size spare tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !!
