1971 Plymouth Road Runner Description:

First, What this car is not. It is not a clone or a tribute car. It is not a 100% frame off restoration. It is not 100% original or perfect. What it is, is a very nice numbers matching real Roadrunner. 383 Engine, 3 speed manual transmission with factory air. What has been done to the car.Underside, suspension, steering and brakes: Underside was completely refinished and a new fuel tank and sender were installed, rear suspension was completely rebuilt with new leaf springs, shackles, bushings and shocks. Front suspension and steering was rebuilt with new upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, pitman arm, power steering gear box and shocks. Brakes were rebuilt with new shoes, hardware, auto brake adjusters and complete new parking brake cables.Engine, transmission, rear end: Rear end is original with 3.23 gears. Transmission is the original numbers matching three speed. Engine is the original numbers matching 383. Engine was rebuilt a couple of years ago. Engine has new fuel pump and filter, new spark plug wires and spark plugs, new correct spark plug wire routing brackets. New valve covers, air cleaner, radiator and fan shroud. Original distributor and carburetor have been rebuilt.Engine compartment: All paint in engine compartment is original. A/C was converted to R134 with new compressor, condenser, receiver drier and hoses. Hoses were custom made to match originals. New hood insulator and hood seal. New windshield washer bottle and pump, new horn, heater control valve, Mopar battery, a/c blower motor and two speed wiper motor. I did install a 12 volt vacuum pump for the A/C controls. I am including the original intake manifold vacuum fitting and canister if you want to convert it back to original.Exterior: Car was repainted original color and original stripes were installed. Grille and headlight bezels were refinished in correct factory colors. New door mirror was installed. All paint on door jambs and inside trunk is original. 17 x 8 year one rallye wheels in front and 17 x 9 year one rallye wheels in rear.Interior: New carpet, front seats have been recovered. Rear seat is original upholstery. New lower door panels, dash pad and headliner. Original A/M radio was rebuilt and new dash and rear deck speaker were installed. Everything on car works. A/C, radio, gauges, lights, turn signals, horn. Car runs drives and looks great. In addition to the car I am including the original manifold vacuum fitting and canister, the original A/C compressor brackets and the hose and fittings from A/C compressor to firewall, the original 14 inch rallye wheels with Goodyear speedway tires. All the original wheels and tires fit in the trunk so the winning bidder will not have to pay extra shipping. I am also including a bottle of touch up paint, reproduction original stickers, owners manual and two volume shop manual. Please contact me with any questions or for more pictures.
