1971 Plymouth Valiant Scamp

1971 Plymouth Valiant Description:

I am offering this wonderful little Plymouth Scamp. She is very solid and very rust free with some very minor surface rust in the right side of the trunk pan. No rust through, just surface rust. The floors, the rest of the trunk, quarters and frame rails are excellent. From the factory, it had a white vinyl top but the previous owner had it removed when it was painted. I do have the vinyl top "chrome" trim and, of course, they come with the car.
The interior is in very good condition. The dash pad has been replaced with a cap. No tears in the headliner nor seats. The front bench seat has been replaced with a different bench with a slightly different pattern but appears to be from another A-body and same color blue. The carpets are new and all gauges work. All lights and turn signals work.
The slant six starts every time with no issues and runs great. The heater hoses are there and hooked up but, I don't see a heater control valve and the heater puts out little or no heat. Other than that, and to the best of my knowledge, I don't see anything else on the car which does not work. The previous owner kept very good care and maintained her very well as it was his daily driver. The tires are near new, if not new. The transmission has a little leak but I have not checked into it. I purchased the car to build a retro-restoration using the Gen III Hemi 6.4 I have but "life" has gotten in the way and it appears that will not happen now.
Since I purchased the car, it has been garaged kept as well as started regularly to keep everything well oiled and in good condition. Odometer reads 48,500 but it is not verified to be original.
