1949 Packard Packard Description:

1949 Packard 2200 series. 288 straight 8 engine. Paint color is sylvan green metallic. No dents but paint has some scratches and scrapes but nothing glaring. It could use a repaint. The car runs strong but does have a mis in # 1 cylinder but still pulls strong and runs and rides smooth no engine shake. The transmission works well shifts easy in all gears. The clutch is good no slipping, no shudders, no rattles Its an over drive transmission but is not wired, I have the old wiring.. All the gauges work. The clock does not work. The heater blower works but needs wiring..The radio turns on and lights up but onlyproduces static, the voluum works but the tuner doesn't. Front and backseat cigarette lighters work' All lights work including turn signals, headlights high and low, parking lights. the fog lights are not hooked up. the horn is very loud and robust. wipers work. The interior, seats, carpet, door panels, headliners, sunvisors all in very good condition. There is sunfading and wear on the wood graining on top of the dash and window/door trim.Tires are radial and very good. Steering is tight and it has no play in the steering wheel it goes down theroad nice and straight without any shimmy or wondering.Exterior chrome and trimis very presentable. All glass is good and not fogged up, Windows roll up and down easily. There are some odds and ends parts that go with it including a transmission, bell housing, brake drums and various small trim parts..all just extra stuff. The photos of this car were taken while on a drive July 23, 2018. Im probably leaving something out but its a very nice old Packard, no concourse showboat has its imperfection, but looks very nice in and out..ABOUT SHIPPING..IMPORTANT TO NOTE..big rigs, tractor trailors etc etc are prohibited on the narrow mountain road where I live so I would have to drive the car to meet your car hauler...however rollbacks and smaller car trailors are allowed...shiiping and related costs are buyers responsibility but I will assist in getting the car to a location near my home for loading.
