1964 Ford Galaxie Description:

Vintage 1964 Ford Galaxie 4 Door Mayberry RFD Replica Sheriff's Car.....Recent restoration including new paint....Interior...Tires, etc...The car was a rust-free car that had been stored for many years before restoration...It is the correct CUSTOM Model as used on the show.....There was some rust in the lower rear quarters and these were replaced with OEM Ford donor panels....The body was stripped and primered prior to repainting.....New interior by Pocha Brothers of Helena, MT..."Barney" always attracts a crowd wherever he is driven and people love to pose by him....He evokes a lot of good memories for people...The car has been used in several weddings and would be a good vehicle to rent out for special occasions...weddings...parties.... graduation...etc...and could be a good money maker for the new owner...Red light and siren work.....I am listing this car for my friend Scott, who is a talented painter but doesn't do computers...I have included the links to a number of YouTube videos and you can cut and paste them for better views of the car....Please email any questions...Thanks 406mac

BODY...Lower rear quarters replaced with OEM parts...there is a dent in the lower left rocker panel..Montana does not use salt on the roads so this really helps preserve older cars....the car has a whip antenna similar to the car in the show...... see videos
CHROME...nice driver quality chrome and trim....all emblems in place....rear bumper needs to be rechromed...
INTERIOR...Completely reupholstered by POCHA BROS. of Helena MT....dash and sheet metal repainted
ENGINE & TRANS...Original 289 and 3 Speed Column Shifter....Car moves along at freeway speeds....58,200 miles is thought to be correct
BRAKES....New Brake Shoes Wheel Cylinders and Master Cylinder
TIRES.....new 14 inch tires with about 500 miles on them
LICENSE PLATES.....Reproduction North Carolina JL 327 Correct plates as used on show...These are for show or display only....Scott would use magnets to attach the state issued plates to the car for operation on highway.... ...
