1963 Ranchero Falcon Chopped Top.
Dare to be different! ( Watch the video )
This is a great driving, easy on fuel, 5 cylinder Mercedes turbo diesel with a 4 speed automatic transmission. Front disc brakes, instruction papers included, make it stop better than factory. Adjustable Electric power steering from a Saturn, again instructions included, make it an easy drive. The engine starts, runs & drives like it should with the glow plug wiring harness from the 1985 300TD installed.
It has an 8 inch rear, 5 lug vintage Torq Thrust wheels, 1960’s vintage, with a 2.79 gear ratio. I have run from 3.50 ratio, runs like a V, down to 2.79 for fuel economy.
The chopped top uses a 1964 Falcon 2 door hardtop windshield, side & back windows are tinted glass, not stick on tint. Top is about 2 1/2 inches lower than stock, like a Falcon Sprint. Paint is Wimbledon White, tear drop hood is fiberglass, bumpers rechromed, new door seals, headliner, etc. Leftover exterior paint included.
This has been my ‘run around’ truck for years as well as attending local car shows. It is running in all the pictures.
Runs cool, using the 300TD radiator & gets around 35 mpg. If you don’t want to be different, pull the diesel out & bolt in a small block Ford 289 or 302.
Drive it home or local delivery available.
