1966 Volvo 1800S

1966 Volvo 1800 Description:

According to the Grandson of the Original Owner, this 1800s was used by the Production Company in England for the television series "The Saint."
Volvo sent many new 1800s to the Production Company who used several cars over the years for short periods of time. Becausethis car is Left Hand Drive destined for the American Market, it was used only for background shootings.
This 1800s was then sent to Wills Motors in Yonkers, N.Y. on March 23, 1966 with 2,671 on the odometer and sold as a new vehicle to his Grandfather on March 24, 1966. His Grandfather took the 1800s to his home in Mamaroneck, NY where it stayed until it was sold to his Father on January 20, 1970. His Father took the car to his home in Westport, Ct. where it stayed until I purchased it about six years ago, still Titled on the Original 1970 Connecticut Document.
Runs very well with recently restored Original SU Carburetors. Recent Tune Up and Brake Service.

4 Speed Manual Transmission with Overdrive. Seems to strain to climb very steep hills.
Rare Dealer Installed Air Conditioning. Blew cold six years ago but hasn't been used since I have owned it and most likely only needs freon. Does not drain power whatsoever when the unit is running and is very quiet.
Vehicle had been painted once and now shows rust in areas typical for these cars...lower quarters, rocker panels, and lower fenders.
Solid Trunk and Floorboards. Some rust on inside edge of trunk lid.
Very original and great running car. No surprises as with a restored 1800. You can see exactly what you start with.
Beautiful New Wheels and Tires. Original Wheels, hubcaps and another set of new tires are included.
Included are the original Owner's Manual and Warranty Booklet as well as the Original 1970 Connecticut Title Document.
