Up for sale is a concours winning fully resorted by RM 1953 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. If your reading this description you probably already know that this is a super rare first year Eldorado that was essentially hand built on the production line in limited numbers. Only 532 examples to be exact. They only produced 35 black cars and only 7 with a solid red interior. This car is one of the last 10 made. It is factory black over solid red leather interior with a white top. The last 12 cars produced with white tops had their top bows painted tan from the factory. The top bows are the correct tan color. This car is currently sporting a black cloth top. In my opinion the black top looks much better then the white top on this particular car. The car was fully restored by RM in the late 90's. The car has been featured on the cover of the Cadillac Lasalle Club monthly magazine back in 2003 to honor 50 yrs of the Eldorado. The car has also been featured on the NatGeo TV special Driving America. These cars were sooo special when they were introduced by Cadillac in 1953. It's the first GM car to feature the distinctive wrap around windshield along with many other firsts. The list price for these cars was $7750!! You could buy a house in 1953 for that kind of money or two 1953 series 62 convertibles!!! This car offers no excuses and looks and drives great!!
