1978 Pontiac Trans Am Drag Race or Pro Street
1978 Pontiac Trans Am Trans Am Description:
Trans Am, Bracket Drag Race or Pro Street. The car has been sitting in my garage for a few years and while the condition is good the rear slicks may be dry rotting, I'm not sure? The car has zero runs on it. I fully intended on building it as a Bracket race car, so all the electronics are there except for an electric or air shifter and tachometer. The engine is basicly a stock 11 1/2 to 1 427 BBC. It does have a Crane .500 intake lift flat tappet camshaft. It has a Holley Dominator intake and 750 street dominator carbruetor. MSD distributor, Moroso electric water pump. Powerglide Transmission with transbrake, Hurst Quarterstick and roll control. Champion aluminum 3 row radiator and Hooker headers. The full roll cage is tied in to the original subframe with frame rails to the rear. 5 gallon Harwood fuel cell, Holley Black fuel pump, Dana 60 4:11 rear end, Strange axles and drum rear brakes. All the body parts are steel and I have a couple of shaker hood scoops.
