I'm listing my oil painting for anyone who like's the artist Ulpiano Checa. I found this old oil painting at an estate sale auction about 1995. The back of the painting shows a serious aged look of the canvas with very old style framing. It is in good condition but probably could be restored by a professional restoration place. It does have a small repair seen on the back. I have not cleaned it ever and it looks smokey from many years of hanging around. I can see no signature but it might be there somewhere. I have not taken it out of the frame so it could be on the edge. Though being not signed I still liked the painting so I bought it. I searched on the internet to see if I could find out who painted this.
This painting looks like it was painted by Ulpiano Checa. Unsigned original oil painting. Much of the auction consisted of paintings that were said to come from France because the family was from there. Upon more some more internet research the Spanish artist Ulpiano Checa was in France for many years. This painting can be authenticated by those that have the professional ability to authenticate unsigned paintings. 28 inches width and 19 inches height
