CMC is excited to have this very rare 1953 Oldsmobile Fiesta Convertible in our collection. With only 458 built, only few remain, making the Fiesta the rarest of the "BIG THREE" GM Motorama Show cars. Our Fiesta was previously restored back to original in the gorgeous turquoise and ivory color scheme. All new chrome, leather, tweed carpet during the restoration process to bring the fiesta back to original. The car has been invited to the Concourse De Elegance, The Glenmore Gathering of Significant vehicles and numerous other events.
In 1953 General Motors had the GM Motorama car show. This show featured GM's lastest advancements and technology of prototype vehicles. Gm decided to bring three prototype out and make them production vehicles. They were the 1953 Buick Skylark, the 1953 Cadillac Eldorado, and the 1953 Oldsmobile Fiesta. All three cars were custom built bodies but the Eldorado and the Fiesta had the revolutionary panoramic windshield which was cut lower then the ordinary production vehicles. The lower clearance required the body lines to be custom molded to be lower and they fitted beautiful wing windows to the windshield. These special vehicles will always be coveted by collectors around the world. When obtaining this "BIG THREE" Collections, the Fiesta is usually the last one for collectors to acquire as very few exist in today's market.
Our fiesta was restored back to original in turquoise and ivory color scheme. All chrome was triple chrome plated. The wide stainless moldings have been polished. The interior was redone in the correct genuine leather and stitching pattern. The carpets are the correct multi color tweed. The convertible top is the correct white top with white boot. The trunk compartment has the original trunk material card board panels. Under the hood, the fiesta is powered by the 303 Rocket V-8 engine coupled to the hydra-matic transmission. The car stars right up and runs, rides and drives very smoothly. It is an absolute pleasure to drive.
The 1953 Fiesta cost a whopping $5732 when new. This was the only Oldsmobile priced like a Cadillac. The car was loaded with options including the 303 Rocket v-8, Hydramatic Transmission, Power windows, Power Convertible top, Power steering, Power Brakes, tinted glass, leather wrapped dash pad, wonder bar Am Radio, Power antennae, Special Fiesta spinner hubcaps, Firestone WWW tires, Power seat, and jack and spare.
