1993 Nissan 300ZX Description:

:This 300ZX is a 2 owner car (always adult owned) and has always been stored in the garage. The car currently has ~26,587 original miles (which increases as I occasionally drive it). This 1993 Nissan 300ZX still sports its original and highly desirable 'cherry red pearl' paint. I'm a 'car guy' and bought this car in June of 2014 as a project car from a close friend. I wanted to restore it and make sure this car was preserved. The car had only 20,618 miles when I bought it.
This car is a rare automatic transmission version of the 300ZX. This is my 3rd Z and the 1st one I've ever owned with an automatic transmission. The automatic shifts smoothly and pulls to redline and shifts quickly and smoothly. I owned a manual twin-turbo before and this car handles the same, and has great power on tap (222HP) and is easier to drive. 300zx's are a joy to drive. However, the non-turbo V6 is less expensive to maintain and more reliable to own and enjoy. This is not a track-prepped 300zx, it is a relaxed and beautiful, well cared for sports car that is easy and fun to drive. Full coverage classic car insurance for this car is very reasonable for this car.
Documentation includes: Original owner's manual, copy of the original window sticker, 2018 Texas Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR), and miscellaneous receipts and assorted documents.
This car cost $34,893 when new. It was built in July 1993 and left the factory with the following options: cherry red pearl paint, 3.0L, 24 valve V6 engine 222HP with four-speed automatic transmission, leather package (dark grey leather/suede interior and leather-wrapped steering wheel), power driver's seat, air-conditioning, speed-sensitive power steering, four-wheel ventillated power disc brakes with anti-lock (ABS), and a driver's side airbag. Four-wheel independent suspension, Factory alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires, power windows, power locks, and remote heated sideview mirrors. The Bose AM/FM stereo with cassette deck was removed and upgraded to current standards with a Kenwood Excelon head unit which has Bluetooth, speakerphone, HD Radio, Kenwood subwoofer and Polk speakers. The original Bose head-unit and speakers were carefully removed and are boxed-up and preserved. One other item I added is an OEM Nissan Twin Turbo spoiler, simply because I like the way it looks on the car.
This Nissan has always been garaged and lovingly cared for and has no previous paintwork. One of 9,801 units made in 1993, but very few are left in pristine condition with such low mileage. It rolls on near new Bridgestone Potenza tires and its 60,000-mile maintenance work has already been done in June of 2014: Replaced were all 6 fuel-injectors with OEM Nissan "newer style" injectors, the complete engine wiring harness, spark plugs, water pump, oil pump, timing belt, all belts and hoses (with Z1 Motorsports silicone coolant hoses), all rubber fuel lines, and all fluids (including the transmission, and differential). Anything that decays with age was replaced. We replaced the wiring harness simply 'because we were in there' and the labor was free. A new wiring harness ensures old and brittle plastic connectors will not cause trouble. We also powdercoated the valve covers, upper and lower intakes and coolant hard pipes when we had everything apart (see photos).
All of the maintenance work was done by a professional mechanic who is an ASE certified and a Nissan master specialist. Everything was 'done right' and with OEM Nissan parts. For those of you wondering why all of the maintenance work was done -- AGE. Things like tires, belts and hoses get old and brittle. A 'low miles' Z is still an old car. Having replaced the aged components, this car is ready to drive and enjoy for years to come. All of this maintenance work was completed right after I bought it in June of 2014, and all I've needed to do since then is change the oil and it is a great car to drive.
The car's cherry red pearl paint (code AH3) is in near excellent condition overall, with just a few minor blemishes visible upon close inspection. The glass panels are in fantastic shape and the car's lights are clear, crack-free and show little age. The car runs and drives like a new car. I also had this car appraised by a professional Z appraiser and will include that with the purchase. These cars are very reliable even if they're not properly maintained as can be seen by the numerous still running and driving examples out there with more than 200K miles on them.
The car rolls on 4 near new (~5000 miles on them) Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires, 225/50ZR16 (stock size) in front and back and those tires surround the OEM factory five-spoke alloy wheels that are in excellent condition. The body panels are all solid and straight, including the bumpers, as expected from a regularly garaged car.
Inside, the car's dark grey leather front bucket seats are in excellent order. The matching black carpet is in excellent shape, as is the instrument panel, four-spoke leather steering wheel with driver's side airbag, the door panels, mirror glass, center console and shift lever. The rear cargo area still has its rolling shade, along with the bags in which to store the T-top panels.
I've enjoyed it for 4 years and still drive it regularly. I'm open to reasonable offers, but I'm not in a rush to sell. I want this car to go to a good home and to a fellow sports car enthusiast. This car has no accidents. It is sold as-is, where-is, on a clean and clear, title from Texas issued 6/20/2014 with mileage showing 20,744 miles at that time. Current mileage on the odometer shows 26,587 miles. It needs nothing and runs and drives like new. If you want a beautiful, fun to drive, reliable classic 300zx, this is the perfect car.
Please contact me with any questions you might have and thanks for looking. I will post a couple of videos showing the car in action.
