1989 Nissan 240SX Description:

This 240 is almost 100% original. Super solid original car. My son and I purchased it three years ago and after quite a bit of work and $$ got it dependable and reliable. All systems work including passive restraints and is dependable enough to be a daily driver.
The original 2.4 was rebuilt, bored .40 over. Head was redone with valve job, new seals. The machine shop that did the bottom end work is a reputable high performance speed shop out of central Ky. All new parts were used, including cam chain, tensioners, sprockets and oil pump. We originally were going to boost this engine, so block was align honed, rotating assembly was balanced and block decked. Machine shop assembled the short block, we have all receipts as well as final measurements from assembly. The engine has around 3k miles, and has been switched over to Mobil 1 after break-in. We have 1500 in the engine alone.
New starter and fuel injectors. New rear brakes and rotors.
Car is a survivor. 80% of paint is original. Obviously it needs a respray. We were sorting the mechanical details and suspension first. The suspension is original, and the front end is tighter than it has a right to be. Bushings up front probably needs replacing but the car drives excellent for original.
Body is good. No rust underneath or behind fenders. Some rust under spoiler showing, and surface bubbling on drivers side windshield pillar.
Interior is good. Drivers seat needs some attention, but headliner, dash are great. Drivers door panel is crap-salvage piece as we did not get original. Carpet good, just needs cleaning.
All controls functional, cruise control was removed by prior owner. We think this might be why brake light comes on and off occasionally. Brake system is fine. No leaks or anything anywhere.
Be realistic, this car is almost 30yrs old. It is a super solid platform to build a high performance car, or just restore or use as a daily ride while modifying.
We need to sell as we no longer have time/space to complete.
Disclosure: Cruise inop do to underhood components not there- A/c works but is weak-we had recharged initially, but has stopped cooling properly. Compressor and elec fan still operate 100%. Rear tires good, fronts @ 50%. Front bumper was lightly damaged pass side, look close you can see the bumper has been pushed in. Some minor dings here and there, nothing serious. Drivers side rear quarter/bumper was repainted prior to us owning.
The original window sticker as well as all manuals are included.
