1948 MG TC

1948 MG T-Series TC Convertible Description:

1948 MG TC. Black with Red interior. Right Hand Drive. Original, un-restored, Black Plate California car till I purchased two years ago.
Purchased car from Heritage Classics in Beverly Hills CA.
Wanted one like this for over 40 years, and I love the little car a lot, but I have limited time and too many other cars which must be restored before I can get to this one.
Don't want it sitting alone in the garage year after year.
Car is excellent driver. Drives really, really good. Been on several trips 40-60 miles and no troubles. Tires are in good shape, spare retains air.
Wire wheels are painted, but in excellent shape.Starts every time. Everything works with exception of speedometer, which I have a new cable for and simply have not had time to repair.
Tach works, turn signals, even the Emergency Brake holds. Jack, wrenches, and hand starter are still in the car. I have the maintenance manual also.
All the wood is in good shape, as is most everything else. This is not a restored car, so there are scratches and dents. I have no idea of mileage on the car.
If you are going to restore, then the chrome needs redone. If you are going to keep it original and drive, then keep it polished.
Top is good and I have the frames only for the rear side curtains. Have been looking since I purchased for front side curtain frames and flaps.
Don't really know of anything really bad about the car. It drives like a TC....you can look that up anywhere online and read various reviews.
It sounds great and is a lot of fun.
Several people have messaged me that they believe this is an older restoration. I will stick with my assessment, but can send you pictures and let you make up your own mind.
If it has been restored, it would have to have been many years ago.
