1927 Replica/Kit Makes Bugatti Type 35 Replica Description:

This is a tribute/replica of the multi-million dollar Bugatti Type 35/37.This car is a true head turner and a star at car shows. With the engine recently replaced and brakes completely rebuilt, it's also lots of fun to drive.
When I bought it last year, it was just another ridiculous looking VW-based replica that you can find on ebay/craigslist for 10k or less. Cheap/ugly parts, late-century wheels, hideous interior, etc... but it had a nice straight body so it was a good base to start on.
I invested a lot of time and money to make it look as close as possible to the original. You can actually get up close and look at the details without wanting to gag. Petrolicious shared one of the photographers photos of it on their Instagram until I told them it's a replica and they took it down (see last photo)
The list of things I've done to it is very long but here's what I can remember: 17" Moto-Lita steering wheel, genuine Brooklands windscreens, period 19" wire wheels/tires+spare (wheels were recently restored and in excellent shape), modified 10" Model T headlights, modified horseshoe grill(most time consuming), aluminum engine-turned dash with all new vintage style gauges, knobs, clock, dummy filler cap on the tail, safety wires all around, leather bag, aluminum footwell walls, added dummy crank handle, new bonnet straps, I pretty much got rid of everything other than the seats.
Mechanical items done by the shop few months ago:Complete Brake System Rebuild. All New Brake Shoes. All New Wheel Cylinders,New Master Cylinder,New Brake Hoses,New Rear Lines,New Front To Rear Brake Line. New Brake Light Switch. Packed Bearings,Adjust and Bleed Brake System. Removed and Replaced wheels and adapters. New 12volt Battery And Voltage Regulator.Rebuilt Turnkey Engine,New Jtubes New Exhaust And exhaust gaskets. New Brosel 30 Pic Carburetor, German Vacuum advance Distributor,New German Points,New condenser, New Rotor button, New Spark Plugs, New Bosch Wires And Cap. New German Fuel Lines In Rear. New Fuel Filter,New Fuel Pump,New German Generator Belt, Good Used Bosch Germany 12Volt Generator. 3qts 20w50. Bellhousing Ground to accommodate 12volt German Flywheel. New Clutch Pressure plate and Bearing. Kyb Rear Shocks. New gas tank.I also replaced the tie-rod ends and steering damper.
