Up for auction is a driver quality 1974 MGB. Very desirable chrome bumper model with only 74,258 miles on the odometer.I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding.This is you chance to get a nice looking, running and driving MGB way the heck below the current market value. Mechanical s:The car runs great and drives very nicely. Car starts right up with no issues, smoke. Car holds right around 60 lbs of oil pressure. Runs drives nicely with no issues that I'm aware of. Great throttle response. This week car was just serviced with the following work done: new complete tune up, new coil, new plugs, new points, new ignition wires, oil change, oil filter, new air filters, new water pump, new alternator, new fan belt, radiator flushed and new coolant added, new radiator cap, new heater control valve, new battery, new fan switch, new headlight switch and a brand NEW set of radial tires where installed along with new chrome wheel trim rings.. Very good all matching tires. Needs nothing at this time that I'm aware of.
Gauges:All gauges are correct "Smith" brand and are in proper working order at this time.
Electrical's :This area is in very good condition with the following items in proper working order. Head lights work ( high and low beam ), front maker lights work, front indicator lights work, front side markers work, front running light work, rear running lights work, rear indicator lights work, rear side maker lights work, rear brake lights work, rear back up lights work, licenceplate lights works, blower fan works, windshield wipers work, courtesy light works and the radio works.
Exterior:The car shows well in the photos and presents herself well in person but still just a 44 year old driver quality car. Paint would look much better with a good waxing / buffing. Car sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no visible signs of leaning or sagging. Nice chrome bumpers. New tires and New chrome wheel trim rings. Again, just driver quality car priced way below current market prices. Note: they are some paint bubbles over the drivers side rear wheel arch.Interior:Looks nice for a driver. Newer carpet and new MG logo floor mats. Seats have some tears hence the seat covers. Note: the floors did have some repairs prior to the new carpet going in.
