MG Midget mkII 1966 - summertime convertible classic British sports car

1966 MG Midget MK 2 Description:

SUMMER IS HERE - Great little summer / Weekend car.

Due to a new house and job, I do not have the time to enjoy my beloved little MG Midget and hate to see it sitting unused in my garage. This is the third MG midget I have owned and it is a great little car, never lets me down, starts every time, a real little head turner and a lot of fun to drive.

1966 the last year of the MKII, red exterior I believe was re-painted by the previous owner about 5 years ago, in great shape overall. This car comes with an optional hard top (I have not used it) new soft top and frame, tonneau cover that can be unzipped for just the driver or taken completely off quickly.

Optional new chrome wire wheels, with a spare older wire wheel, knock off hammer and jack. New radial tires all round. Rear luggage rack, looks great but I have never actually used it. Disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear.

Spring 2016 I rebuilt the carbs and fully tuned the engine, it was running a little rough, it has been running great ever since. The emission system is disconnected currently as the diaphragm inside is split. (Quick fix with a $3.89 part from Moss motors part number 360-635)

Winter 2017 I fully rebuilt the dash including all the gauges, replacing old cracked and crumbling electronic components inside the tach, powder coated the dash to bring it back to life. Rebuilt the window winding mechanisms inside the doors.
